RE: New Mathews Bow
I picked up my Drenalin today. It is everything I anticipated: quiet, fast, light-weight, and low to non-existent recoil affect to name a few. I'm really looking forward to getting better acquainted with it, and after shooting it briefly at the dealer's I already know that my season next year will be very successful!!
After talking with a hunting buddy of mine, I have come to the conclusion that while the Drenalin is a top of the line bow as I'm sure the new Bowtech and Hoyt models are; it's mostly about access to knowledge and information.
For me, I have a Mathew’s dealer to go to and am able to have a premium market bow set up just for me. The dealer has access to all the tools, information, and knowledge on how to fine-tune such a product for me personally. That speaks volumes on how any product can or cannot be of use to a consumer. I could have spent a little less up front and went to a large retail store to get a nice bow, but who there is going to make the necessary adjustments so it fits me? It is a rarity that I would find the service I need there, and consequently I would get little for my money.
