Youdon't need to puchase license,until your 15 Under 15 hunts and fishes free for most animals (you would still need a doe stamp if not a landowner). We have youth hunting days you must be at least 8 to hunt these days because you have to be 8 to take hunters safety classes in order to buy yourstamps. But in regular season landowners and the children do not need a licesene or stamps. Anyway he was with me in a ground blind I had the gun the whole time up until the shot.We also were on our own hunting land. We have shot a lot together and I felt comfortable he could and wanted to shot a deer.
