RE: Without SPOT or BLEMISH?
Well, coming from someone who lived their entire life on the 'other' side of the line, I do my very best to make sure I know exactly where the line is. Then I back up 2 paces and stay there. Case in point.
2 years ago I was out with my stepson and brother in law drive hunting on land south of mine. It was our second or third drive. My stepson was carring a 12 gauge shotgun using slugs and my brother in law the same with a 357 magnum revolver on his hip also. (don't ask me why) I wasn't carrying a gun because I'm not allowed to by law. I was just helping drive the deer to the posted hunters. On the 3rd or 4th drive, we still didn't have any deer. My brother in law reaches behind his seat in his truck and pulls out another shotgun and goes to hand it to me. Now we're out in the middle of nowhere, no game wardens or sheriffs around anywhere. I could have easily taken that weapon and hunted, but I didn't because if I did, I could spend the next 5 years in the pen. Right now, I could take my stepson's 12 gauge and go shoot a doe on my place, drag her down to the house and put her in the freezer. No one would know. I would be on my own property. But, there's always the chance that the local game warden would show up and I'm busted. I lose the farm, my freedom, and the priveledge of bowhunting for a long time. No thanks. Sorry this was so long. Guess you hit a nerve.
