I know two guys that just started turkey hunting last spring and they know NOTHING about calling and they both rolled boss gobblers last spring. They hunt a farm that get no hunting pressure. So that kinda blows the calling theory out of the water for me...

I think if you are hunting in a area that has a lot of turkeys and they don't get hunted hard you could call one in with a plain ol push pull call!!!!

On the other hand if you are hunting heavily pressured birds then thing are a lot different. I think your calling skills come into play more and you better know the land your hunting and the birds your hunting. IN OTHER WORDS YOU HAVE TO BE A REAL TURKEY HUNTER!!!!
