RE: 07 Allegiance Problem
Muzzyman, I hate to say it- but when you buy a hot rod for a daily driver you might want a back-up vehicle. I know I’ll get slammed for that, but I’ll never be without 2 bows ready to roll no matter what brand.
Woodrow & Indawoods- My bow is a 2006. When people were posting about end cap rubbing last year I'd pull mine out and be glad my air gap still existed, it no longer does now.
If they think placing washers on both sides of the cam (when you couldn't slip a business card in their to begin with) is the fix I'll be highly depressed. They didn't design the bow with washers; the gap between limbs is "just so" wide for a reason. Trying to decrease the amount of opening by two shims width can't be a good thing. If they were supposed to be there they should have been there in the first place, not as a band-aid repair later. I won't have a chance to run my bow by the dealer until next Thursday or Friday. I’ll see what he thinks.
BTW, the length of a thread should have no bearing on what bow to buy. This thread is only 10 pages long because people like me add my 2 cents on another isolated issue (high-jack). The thread is just about one Allegiance as far as I can tell; I'm not re-reading it again to find out .
