Default RE: scope base for a Sako

Hound,

The Sako 75 is designed to accept Sako Optilock bases and rings. They are all-steel, and extremely durable. I have used them extensively on both Sako and Tikka and I couldn't think of a better mounting system.

Call up Beretta USA, owner and sole US importer of SAKO at (301) 283-2191, ask for "parts and service" and order you one.

The bases are actually separate from the rings. This allows you to have multiple rings (say, 1" and 30mm) with the same base. Specify what action length your rifle is (it's a roman numeral on the left side of the receiver) and order either a short (actions I and III) or long (actions IV and V). Then get the rings that match your 'scope ~ 1" or 30mm, low, med or high. BTW, low clears most hunting scopes.

Also, you have the option of blue or stainless to match the finish of your rifle.

If you have problems doing that, send me a private msg.

Tom

Greetings from Blue Ridge Country
