Is this a good deal??
Earlier today I went to a local sports shop and saw a Hoyt Impulse Super Slam with all the bells and whistles for $125.00, is this a good deal? As I was looking at it the guy working the counter asks if he could help me. So I tell him I'm just looking but I wanted to look at the Hoyt. Before he hands me the bow he starts telling me all about it, how it was a trade-in for something newer and the guy wanted a heavier bow, how it's been beefed up, that the draw length is set for 29" and how the draw weight is now probably a minimum of 60#. Well as he hands me the bow it hits me how when he said 60 - 70 lbs he must have been talking about the overall weight and not the draw weight. The beast is extremely heavy. I started thinking I'll have to start working out with weights just to shoot this beast due to how much it weighs, did I mention this thing was really heavy? Anyway, if I bought it I'd probably want to take off all the extra stuff but maybe get a different quiver for hunting. But back to my question is this a good deal.
Thanks for any advice or suggestions.
