you guys, this is the reason that keeps me from shooting acc's or FMJ's. You can dent them. That's the problem. As long as there is aluminum in the core you can dent them. That's what sucks. If there is aluminum in the shaft it can be dented that's the long and short of it. That is the ONLY thing that keeps me from shooting them.
Yeah, but anything that would dent one of these arrows would split a full carbon shaft, in either case you've got a ruined arrow and most times the A/C/C will survive impacts that will destroy a carbon. On top of that, I've never heard of a damaged A/C shaft blowing up when shot.
Dan, Stop pulling your arrows with Vice-grips!
Thats one of the things I like about the FMJ's. A carbon shaft wrapped in alluminum. The carbon, even if damaged, can't explode while wrapped in alluminum.
Shoot, I've never had a target that was easier to remove arrows from! Now the Yellow Jacket broadhead target on the other hand...

I have to turn that thing on its back and stand on top of it to pull my arrows out!
