If you are real worried about it, call the DNR and explain to them what happened. I would just tell them you shot it yesterday morning and didn't find until last night. It is cold enough that she would freeze so I doubt they will question it. Just to avoid the hassle. If the checkstation people are like some of the ones from around here, then they wouldn't know if it had been dead for a couple of weeks.
