but the mental high I get in those couple seconds are why I hunt this way
Then hell have someone roll some tires down a hill for you 600 yards away. Have them do it without warning so you will never know when to expect it. Then see if you can hit them. Because it sounds like to me the deer has nothing to do with what thrills you about shooting in this way. How could it? At 600 yards you would be hard pressed to gauge much about the quality of the deer.
far as I'm concerned I don't pay much attention to ignorance.

There's a lot of things that arelegalbutnotvery ethical. I could catch a limit of bass every day, come home and toss them in the trash. No law says I have to clean, cook and eat them but I would still consider that being a pretty poor sportsman. Wouldn't you? Well, on second thought,maybe you wouldn't but most folks would.
OH and cheap? do you realize how much money I've allready spent to prepare myself and my equipment for what I do
