? on bow woods.......specifically the falcon.
heya all, i have been shooting the x-200 that i just got, and it seems to be ok, in fact i plan to shelve the compound this year and just hunt with it.
but............the draw weight is only 45# @ 28.... while this is ok for now and later on this year to hunt with, i will probley want to move into the 55-60 # pound range with my next bow. that next bow will be the checkmate falcon.
now for the questions.
is there any performance difference between the standard plane jane falcon over the top end falcon deluxe with the multiple wood inlays? and such, in terms of smoothness and bow speed etc.
are you getting anything in return for buying the top modle other than looks?
i dont mind my bows looking plane, in fact i kinda perfer it so i wont baby it as much and of course the cost factor....
im looking at trying the black walnut riser with black walnut limbs and either the clear coat or black limb coat.
or do i need to just pony up for the higher end model?
thanks all for the help...........im finally getting serious about the trad hunting thing and putting up the training wheels, i prefer the simplicity of it, in fact this past year, even tho i filled my archery tags, there was a couple times this year that i just know if i had been shooting instinctively i would have had success where i just couldnt see the deer thru the peep to be sure of my shot.
oh and im already keeping them in the target at 20 yards so its comming along hehe.
