I just purchased a Savage 93 17HMR with the bull barrel( 21"), accu-trigger, scoped package for $239.00. The scope is a simmons 3x9.

Pretty? Heck no...Plain old birch stock, etc.Shooter? Hell yes!!! This rifle is worth the money and shoots like a dream. I agree, the scope could be replaced with better glass to really make this a 150-200 yard package for little critters.
The out of the box trigger was perfect! Good factory adjustment job.
I think I found my new squirrel rifle! Groundhogs- beware, this tack driver will be great on small farms close to housing developments or newer developments- quiet and frangible- ricochets doubtful due to the light construction of these 17 grainers.
Worth every penny IMHO!
