Herman, that's not unusual for a Remington 700 to shoot right out of the box....and the SST is a mighty fine bullet.
Personally, I've been frustrated by IMR powders.....the product is good but their data is short and they don't seem to want to reply to me. I've moved to Hodgdon's for most all of my powder needs and I'd suggest that if you tried 58.5 grains of H-4831-SC with that 139 gr. SST, you'd shoot about 2,900'/sec and groups would not diminish at all. Further the SC (short cut) is loaded the same as the regular H-4831 and is a lot easier to handle than any of the 4831 regular powders. Visit the data at

Please don't confuse the H-4831 with the IMR-4831, they're not the same powders and not to be used interchangeably
