Two reasons for that. One is that we take most of our harvests on opening day. The second day most of the rest. The saturday the rest pretty much. They rest of the days see very little pressure and harvest. Deer go into their tunnel systems and it takes a lot of pressure to move them out. They get pretty good at the game after two days of our usual doe season. You could make it a month and most of us wouldn't take a deer after those first two days.

The Satudays would of produced a higher harvest if we had a blanket of snow instead a windy rainy weather. So bad weather held the harvest down too.
