BTbowhunter.....it is fun. nerve racking, but fun. I didn't carry a spear....just went along for the ride. They did all the shooting and laceratin'. They surround them with dogs then move in at close range. Those bamboo Xbows shoot slick for a stick-&-twine weapon, and rivercane style arrows with trade style points. Not even close to a good selfbow of our knowledge for performance, but fairly accurate out to about 25-30 yards. Quite a bit different than a modern Xbow.
