My thoughts on earn a buck... Start bow season Sept 1 doe only not just antlerless. (Archers shouldn't shoot if they cant tell if it's a button buck.) It stays doe only till Oct 1 or until the archer turns in a doe at a check station. Then he can kill a buck (a button buck with a bow should cost us our buck tag) Create an archery only doe tag and make them readily available to the guys willing to kill more than one doe with his bow. Some rifle hunters might object but archers are 1/3 of our hunters but don't kill anywhere near 1/3 of our deer. Till the number gets close, they don't have a biologically sound arguement against it. Let the crossgun guys have at it the same week as the ML guys. It would be a good way to kill one arguement or the other (for or against them) If that doesn't produce an adequate early doe kill, let the rifles at em!

Terry, Please take the time to READ our posts before you reply. I didn't say they loaded the same, I said they were held aimed and shot the same as a gun. Ralph specifically said that modern compounds are drastically different and traditional bows had changed only a little. It aint him thats been drinkin.
