The thread reads...survey says, so here is my vote, being the politcally correct guy I am! No crossguns...EVER, unless you are truly handicapped to the point that you cannot use a conventional bow. Here are just a few undisputable crossgun facts.
1. Greatly reduced downrange accuracy.
2. Greatly reduced downrange ke.
3. Give the new user a false sense of competency. Resulting in less practice=less proficiency.
4.If you don`t believe # 3, just ask the Ohio hunters.
Also, I do not try to downplay any handicap, but I feel that a hunter should have a legitimate problem in order to obtain a crossbow permit. I know several people who have obtained these permits due to a sore shoulder, or elbow, or chronic back pain.
