A locksmith told me yesterday that I should put a bottle of water down in the bottom of my safe in case of fire, that way, in the case of a fire, the bottle would eventually heat up and burst, creating steam and preventing anything from catching on fire. At least that's the way I understood his advice. Anybody ever heard of this?
Nope!If the fireproofing is done right, it will create moisture in the safe during a fire and will prevent papers from burning!
