Default RE: Shooting a crossbow from a "Bench"

ORIGINAL: Hotburn76

I did a good one two weeks ago when I went out with my dad that I had keep to myself, but will tell because you all should enjoy. Most of the time I just shoot in the ground, but sometimes when with dad will hold string and let him hit the trigger. Starting to get low on the aluminums so sometimes I try and save them since I can only get a few ground shots out of them before they bend. But anyways, I get into position as always and Dad pulls for me and WHACK right in the chest a little, no pain but enough to make me almost POOP! I always hold the string all the way down, but I let it down fast kinda, no dry fire. But here is the kicker, I left the arrow on! It hit the ground and the stock had to come up! What a ride!! Thats another one I hope I put on the do it once list!!
Well this is another fine mess you got us into! LOL! Thats too funny! On the other hand I am happy you and your Dad are ok. Can't you use a rope cocker?
