mike bell, I also have the RedHead 16" Snake Boot and it’s a great wearing boot. But like timbercruiser I also have a pair of snake proof chaps That I slap on over them. Like timbercruiser said, works great for briar, and snakes do hit above the calf some times. Also snake proof chaps are great if you don't get hit on the boot That’s the reason Snake Boot and snake proof chaps go well together. And yes I have cruised Timber in places that looked like snake pit Hell.
