Most of todays traps have been tweeked to help ensure that an animal cant even reach his foot with his snout(no marketin feet) a short chain on a staked trap,2 or more swivels,attached in the center of the trap.and realy important is to have propper placement,size,and pan tention on the traps.
The antis are always using 100 year old technoligy as a reasion to ban trapping.They start swinging a rusty old wolf trap with teeth to start tugging on the uneducated publics heartstrings.Most outdoorsmen dont know how to use a trap.It takes a good mentor,and a whole lot of iwannalearn to round the corner and start making effective sets.Onece you have it though,you cant loose it,and all the ranchers want you for there verry own.A bunch of dogs can hurt them and most times,youre the only trapper they know.
