Nothing wrong with a 870 but for nearly the same money you can get a Bennelli Nova (comes with integrated sling swivels, 3 chokes, cool ejector button that only unloads the chambered shell, will shoot 2 3/4 up to 3 1/2", fiber optic sight, you can disassemble the whole gun without any tools , and they shoot awesome) !!
I ended up getting a SBE Bennelli and it's lighter and an automatic...........but it does not shoot any better than my Nova did !!
Myhunting buddyhas a 870 and a Nova and he always hunts with the Nova !! Worth a look anyway !!
