RE: Vac. Packing deer meat
I got one for Christmas and just used it today. Looks cool and from the post's I've read, the way to go. Like HC, I always wrap with plastic wrap but would then put in ziplocks. Ziplocks are expensive. I did note that you could take three one pound packs of sausage (already wrapped in plastic) or hamburger and put them in one bag. As you need a pound, open up take out and reseal. Cuts down on bag making time plus keeps your bag clean. I almost returned it as with as many mouths to feed around here, nothing last long enough to freezer burn anyway.
