I think you folks have touched upon the point of starting it earlier in the area being suggested. Those particular WMUs are heavily populated. Public land to hunt is few and far between and access to private land is very hard to come by, especially if you do not live in the area. Their only option is to increase the length of the season to give hunters more opportunity to harvest more deer from an area with an overpopulation. We aren't talking about creating a 4 month archery season in Northcentral part of the state here.
