RE: tree stands
Anything above twenty feet is considered ideal but most ladder stands only go 12 to 15 feet , maybe thats one reason I don't use them .
I rather use a loc - on / fixed stand so I can go as high as I want to and I like to be anywhere in the 24 to 30 foot range.
