Yes, it can have a major effect, especially if your arrow tune is marginal.

Out of tune arrows with field points often impact the same. Put a broadhead up front and you now have an extra set of "wings" fighting for control of the arrow. Simply put...marginal tuning + broadheads = wind-planing.
