Default RE: Bowtech Guradian

David,I wanted to like the bow VERY much because there is much about the design I love BUT I found the draw to be very harsh.Granted,it was straight off the shelf and was a 29" draw and I am a 28 1/2" draw but I was pulling a60# model back with the limb bolts backed out slightly, estimated 58# and I found it very harsh.I shoot 58# so I was expecting something I would like but I hated it.The extra draw length may have something to do with it( I really suspect it does)and it may have actually been more thanI thought but it was a 60# model so it couldn't have been too much more.I hated the rounded grip so when I saw and felt that,it was instantly off my list as a shooter FOR ME so i didn't get into great detail with the setup.I much prefer a flat grip on the back, much more conducive to consistant shooting at distance.

I can see where some might love itbut it isn't for everyone.(especially for those of us that have artur in the shoulders)I have yet to draw a Bowtech that I like. That isn't bashing but just an honest opinion from someone that likes a different feel.

IF the grip had been more suited to me,I'm sure I could have gotten the bow setup to my liking(probably 56#'s at 28 1/2" draw)butI saw no point in it.Especially since I am not in the market right now.Just wanted to give the shop that I shoot for an honest opinion. So far the Vectrix or Vectrix Xlis at the top of what I have looked at this year for hunting.
