what I meant was, deer are considered light thinned skinned game, you don't need a controlled expansion bullet. pick a bullet 90 gr or more for your 243 that shoots well and have at it, it'll do fine. the difference between the SST and the accubond is the bonded core of the nosler.
After so much expansion of the sst the core and jacket will separate, but it won't matter on an average deer.
The accubond may expand enough to become a mangled mass of copper and lead but it will keep penetrateing, it is a GREAT bullet if your impact velocities exceed 3300 fps, it will outpenetrate the famous partition and most probably shoot better.
Hornady's interbond is a clone of the accubond.
