It's easier to keep a couple of tabs set aside for hunting because they're pretty inexpensive and fit isn't nearly as critical. You trim a tab to fit anyway.
A favorite glove is usually the only one you've got that really fits your hand the way you like, and that's why you generally use it for everything. To cut down the scent, I'll soak my sweaty old glove in a pan of warm water for an hour, squeeze it out a few times, rinse it under warm running water, then wear it until it dries. Then I rub it down with Montana Pitch Blend.
