Alliant does have .270 wsm data but with speer bullets. I like alliant powder, i use it with my 45-70 and so i stuck with it. I have remington brass and cci 200 primers, which is what alliant says to use. I followed their recipe for the minimum load which 61g r-22 and instead of a 140g speer i used the nosler accubond. I know you shouldn;t swap bullets, but i figuerd start low and look for pressure. Other data i found was with the nosler ballistic tip and almost identical load. I started working up and started seeing pressure signs slightly at 62g, and i did fire off one 63g which was definately too hot as the bolt was a little stiffer to open and the primer was flattened and slightly cratered into the firing pin pocket. I stopped there and pulled the rest. Just wondering if anyone else had experience with this combo.


I was looking for other 270 wsm data to compare with.Wonder if the rem cases are a lil thicker and helpedcaused the extra pressure. Time to break out the crono to double check.
