Well, I don't know that it is overly complicated since I'm a noodbut a talk with a pro shop owner leads me to believe that it is. He said that tuning is quite simple because all you need for the arrow to do is remain level (meaning rest placement)when nocked and 90 degrees to the string. THE END.

Out of the bow, that is exactly right. End of story.

Now bring in cam lean, limb twist, string creep, string additions, human error, arrow spine tolerances, arrow tuning, broadheads, etc...

Again, it's easy when you understand it. Out of a shooter machine, it might be simpler than putting a human behind the bow, then all hell breaks loose. lol.
