Default RE: I am getting a little UPSET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well said artist. Just as the slogan says on The Outdoor Channel "Pass it on". I have taken my seven year old daughter with me almost every weekend for the past two seasons, and have reaped priceless benefits from the quite small investment of my time, and numerous mornings of seeing absolutely no deer due to eye opening conversations, and way too much movement in the stand" She has taught me so much about what I have seldom paid attention to while out hunting. I now can see the forest, and the trees. In other words we both have gained an appreciation for the outdoors, and nature. I now take a camera with me, and spend about as much time taking pictures as hunting while on stand. My Great grandfather has blessed us with a lifetime of memories as a guide, and hunter with a huge collection of photographs from Vermejo Park in the 1930's to Montana in the 1960's. These are the things that will stick with a child for a lifetime. Material things are not always the solution. Time with children, outside in general is what we should concentrate on. These kids are our future. Just imagine chances are that if a person takes his or her kid or kids hunting, fishing, and scoouting. This same child will likeley share these same experiences with their children and friends. What an investment. Multiply the hunting population by lets say 1.5% for an average family with two children, and in 18 or 20 years with time well spent we can all sit back in our rockers, and watch them planting food plots with our grandchildren.
