thats all i use..that and a box call but most of the time i have my ol yeller by knight and hale in my hand..i guess you can call it a slate but its actually frictionite...i think its like a ceramic or something im not sure..but it sounds good..and i have a cody glass that im still learning and breaking in..i bought it for like 12$ after the season last year and havent played with it much..as for strickers i dont really like the ones that come with them so i make my own with a pocket knife..time consuming but it gives me something to do while im fishing and sitting around in the spring and summer...so far the favorite one i made is a black walnut stricker with a corncob back...looks good and sounds good...im still experimenting with diffrent woods though...
