Just to clarify, there is the HSUS and there is the Humane Society. They are two different organizations with two different agendas. However, some shelters are run by the HSUS so it can be confusing. But just be careful not to persecute the Humane Society because there is a leach that has a similar name. They are doing a much needed service.
