I looked at / fondled an 85 about 2 months ago at a nearby gun shop. It was wood not laminate. The wood was nice, but not fancy. I did hear that the Lam Tikka stocks were made in the U.S. but the Lam Sako stocks weren't. Don't know for sure. I'll be going by that shop later this week and I'll check their inventory for Lam versions. If so, I'll let you know what I found out...if anything.
