Be aware that the Automobile Insurance Companies are a big reason NJ has such liberal bag limits on deer. The deer/auto collisions in this state are higher than ever and its costing the Ins. Co's millions in their precious dollars.
now your onto something! we as hunters should get auto insurance discounts for providing a service. all in all my season was the worst in 30 years. i passed on several deer. the numbers were bad in the southern parts of the state i gather. the pocket areas seemed to do well or better than most years. im talking about back yard and small type woods properties. north jersey seemed about average to a little less for a season. winter was not harsh last year and this year is even better for deer so you would think the numbers would be good but the liberal bag limits and seasons are catching up.
