There is also a Hunter's Peep. It is a peep with a bit larger apperature but it is surrounded with a brass ring. It is great with low lighting conditions. I have one on my 94. I don't know if it would have the proper threads for the sight you are talking about. if not then maybe you could drill out the apperature a bit and give it a coat of gold paint????
