kinda reminds me of David and Goliath ... the entire Israelite army sits back and gets challenged for 40 days ... doing nothing. ONE DAY A YOUNG BOY WHO BELIEVES THERE IS A CAUSE GOES OUT AND SLAYS THE PHILISTINE CHAMPION. .....OOPS....caps off .....
Interesting you should bring that story up. If I remember right Saul was voted into power. Davids actions had nothing to do with voting.
nodog ....ahhh, but ye err not knowing the scriptures.... The Isralites begged for a king, God gave themSaul to show them that God was the only one they needed to rule over them. Saul was a huge bust, and HE WAS NOT ELECTED .. God put him there. David, however, was the one who believed in something (The Lord), and defeated a lion, bear, Goliath, and many of God's adversaries.
Well PreacherTony I do believe this is the wrong forum for this, but IMO it is you who are wrong. The people voted for a king like themselves, Saul fit the bill.God gave them what they voted for. David was not, but pressed into service. The people never said give us David in fact the people tried to kill him like many revolutionaries (remind you of anybody. If it does that, IMO, is the proper use of this passage)I also don't believe the story was given to prove anything about voting,so in my estimation it is you who are taking the scriptures out of context as well as (voting or not) being something you have a hard time staying on topic about.
Once again I say get educated with some history and in this case that would be with early church history and in particular their views on voting for an earthly leader. You could start with the amish view. It has changed little. The history of voting in this country would be good to read at the same time. If you then presented a case from these findingsfor voting over not voting, I'dbe more inclined to listen. As it is, you remind me of the media. Same tactics. Fear!I turned them off a long time ago and found, I could think for myself. Stopped attending any organized "Church" as well. Just couldn't see any difference in the too. I see things haven't changed. Church meetings where people voted were just as ugly an affair (just to keep this on topic)
And just to keep this whole subject at least for my part a bowhunting topic, the history of the times of Carthage have some great bowhunting stories.

One about the huge packs of wolves that filled the land.

(might as well piss of another crowd).
