Well, I have often thought about a 270 or a 30-06 as one of my next caliber purchases. I have decided on the 06 for one reason. I want to get it in a Win. Model 95 Levergun.

I know I can get a BLR in just about any caliber I want, but to be honest, I not a that fancy to the look of the BLR.

If I had to choose one gun to do everything form hunting to home protection, it would be a 12 ga. shotgun with an additional slug barrel. With that, you can drop any animal on the planet out to 200 yards and hunt everything from small mamals and birds to Moose and Bear. And great for home protection.

So if anyone asks me what is the best caliber gun made, I will say the 12 ga.
