How could it ruin a waterproof scope?? They did tell me they guarantee all the work except for dipping a scope, Gunsmith said a cheap scope may not be totally waterproof.
I'm not sure.. but we had a guy send in 2 rifles and 2 scopes and hardward to get dipped.. both identical setups.
One scope came back perfect.. and the other was screwed.. these were both Cabelas Alaskan Guide scopes.. which appear to be pretty high quality.I don't know if it has to do w/ the temperatures that the dipping takes place in or what.. but it happens (ALOT) from what I'm told.
