If I am understanding you correctly, I am not sure how that could happen?

What you see in your viewfinder, or on your LCD screen, is what you get in a picture.

In other words, if you could see them through the camera.....you should have gotten a picture.

Pretty strange, I will have to ask a couple of the camera gurus I know what this could possibly be.
