BT, like you, I prefer a mouth call, but I also use friction calls that I also enjoy using just as much. Slate, Glass, Aluminum, and Sla-Tek type call surfaces work well. When first starting the game I use one of these friction calls, then as the bird works in closer, I then switch to a mouth call which allows both hands to be on your gun and at the very same time allows you to call while your face is up against the stock. The mouth call is by far the most deadly turkey call on the market today bar none, because of these reasons listed here. While I do carry a box call with me, it's these other calls that see most of the duty!!<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
