Default RE: Why do people inflate their deer scores ?

I know some people do it on purpose but most do not know and think they are making a good guess. We started weighing every deer and taking jaw bones for the state at our club and the weights we thought we were killing went WAY DOWN!!!! At first a deer would come in and someone would say that buck is every bit 200 lbs. and we would weigh it and it would be 175 or so. It was usually about 20 lbs off. Same goes for horns, people do not know and guess way high.
