Default RE: New to Crossbows

Many people unload their bow by firing an old arrow into the ground, but I do not and never have. It is all tech. in how you do it. Some will also use their rope cocker to uncock their bow, but I use the manual methoc with the hands.

I learned it over 25 years ago and still use it. My dad is only 75 and he uncocks with the same methos by hand. I know for a FACT that excalibur does not put slow selling stuff in their packages. They make a bow for hunters and inclue things that a hunter will want to use (all good quality stuff). The only thing I do not like in thier package is their quiver moount (where it goes on the bow). My quiver goes into my back pack then hangs on the tree when on the watch.

Rebel, I did not get into the advantages or disadvantages in this thread because I feel that would be a thread all on it's own.

Again, good luck Ranger.
