RE: What would mean more to you?
There is a lot to be said on this subject, because as bowhunters, we often hunt alone from choice. I think that is part of what sets many bowhunters apart, a deep need and desire to spend the time in solitude, pursuing a multitude of things that the sport offers. I know that is true for me at least. The feeling of everything coming together and culminating in a successful shot is a great feeling. I think I am at a point in my life now though, that I get a huge amount of satifaction from a friends sucess, as much as my own. If you have gotten someone started in the sport, and seen all of the emotions and excitement in their face that you yourself feel, that too is a real rush, and it imparts a feeling of having come full circle in the sport. I guess if I were to answer honestly, although I would not want to give up the satisfaction of my own sucess for ever, most times I would trade that for the pleasure of seeing a friends success. It is especially satisfying, when I know I have in some way helped in that success.
