crowpecker I was thinking of you when I made this post! I have seen you mention deer hunting in Va. a number of times, and figured I would let the folks see a few.
Johnny I got my first bowkill this year, a doe. I have to admit that until doe season opens on the 23rd I have not felt the drive as much during gun, there is this one monsterous 6 point(no browtines)that I have been trying to get and as a result I am trying to keep the pressure down on him as much as possible, smart old boy, his bedding area is impossible to get near without his knowledge and from what I have seen so far he sticks to it until it is dark and returns before sunup. I really feel my only chance at him will be if something bumps him out of his bed my way, I do know his escape route out of there and when I hunt the area that is always covered.
BTW those a far from the biggest in Va.
