One of my best buddies will only hunt from 10am-2pm during the peak of the rut, and the man has killed 2 trophy bucks while doing it. Hes only been experimenting with it for the past few years; but its worked out. He hunts outta lock-ons about 30 ft in the air, in the thickest cover you can find on the farm. IMO its a hit or miss approach.
