I find it to be a caliber and ammunition that'll let me with proper shot placement out to 300+ yds. accurately, give an immediate shock to the animal and with good slug weight and expansion go through bone take out lungs/heart and bring them down, usually within 50 yards or less. I've also used the same in "Failsafe" slug effectively.
