i have trapped for many years now and rabbits i have done surprisingly for a while now. i dont snare alot but i will tell you howto make a set for them. an easy set can be made. if you can see there tracks, especially in the winter, and in no fear of deer follow this. make a simple covey on a well used trail by rabbits by placing cut limbs horizontally on each side as to form a "tunnel" which they will follow. By doing so you elimate the trapping or injury to deer. place some type of bait, preferablly corn or i have even seen my neighbor successfully use stor bought rabbit pellets and place it in the middle of the covey and equally between each end. before this though. make your trap bed solid and place a #1 or 1 1/2 coilspring directly in front and on the opposite side of the bait. this will cover entry from both sides. when the come for the bait, snap. dinner. if you dont have these coilsprings, then simply set a #110 conibear in the place where the bait would go. when the come through to just travel, snap. dinner. i have even used a 5 gallon bucket with the botom cut out as a premade cobey any set a #110 in the middle. on a travel route. good luck
