The shop that is considering sponsoring my friend and I is one I haven't yet visited as its on the other side of town. As soon as I deal with the problem I will go only to that shop.

I learned early on in life that you attract more bees with honey than you do vinegar which is why I'm not making as big of a stink about this as I could. There may come a point down the line where I absolutely need someone done at Sportsman's and if I expect to receive at least decent service with them in the future, I need to just take everything with a grain of salt.

I'm a fairly patient person when it comes to things like this.
